What are the most popular types of waltz dancing?

In the middle of eighteenth century, the Waltz dance has been evolved in the popularity of earlier dancing. The word ‘waltz’ is generated from the Italian word “volver”. It means ‘turn’ or ‘revolve’. In this form of dance, the dancers take a close embrace with facing one another. There are many cultures accepted the form of waltz dancing which is accompanied with three beat rhythms. There are four different genres of waltz dancing in which simple and basic ways can be distinguished. Due to its close facing embrace, this dance form was not accepted by the upper class immediately.

Types of waltz dancing
1. Vietnamese Waltz:  This is considered to be the best waltz dance because this is much faster than other waltz forms in which tempo runs at the speed of around 200 beats per minute. The fast tempo is counted on this form of waltz dancing, while Strauss Waltz was preferred by other composers. Because of rapid moves, there is less sway in dancing and less rise and falls as well.

2. Country Western Waltz: The Country Western Waltz Bloomfield provides a great deal of strength and freedom including other waltz dancing forms. The tempo is quite slower than Vietnamese Waltz and this is very much similar to the waltz of American style according to some dance educators. If this is a reasonable approach, this dance form includes some moves which are not similar particularly in American style waltz. As an example, the dancers dance frequently in shadow position while the majority of moves can be performed by holding one hand in promenade, closed or outside partner. But the basic difference is in music.

3. International Waltz: This dance style is very much similar to American waltz but the basic difference is dance position which is close during the dance. Hence, this is not customary to start with international waltz. In the early 20th century, this was highly standardized in England with an aim to make the moves easier for the panels of judging in order to score the dance during the competitions. This makes it perfect dance sport with the process of standardization. In Europe, this is still danced socially but less in America for competitions. The music is slower slightly to accompany the dance steps. Most of the movements are shared among American and International Waltz and they are trending over the years.

4. American Waltz: In the United States, this is one of the most popular forms of social dancing and American Waltz is world-famous dance in most parts. This is danced in various positions including shadow, closed, promenade and outside and this is quite very versatile dance form. 1. Perhaps you may want to correct the name of the type of waltz in example #1. I believe you mean to say the Viennese Waltz and not the Vietnamese Waltz.
